Repetition Right!
But this is interesting. The Bluetooth Speaker v2.0 is compulsorily for my Achan. The project idea began with his interest in Malayalam Old songs and composition of instruments in them,. He's one of a kind who loves the instruments and vocal sounds to be heard crisp and clear. Thought, why not build a powerful speaker system? (I call it the Sound Bar :P).
As already mentioned in my previous speaker build, one of the best material suited for speaker build is wood, and Plywood and teak being the best in the category. Hence, chosen Plywood for this build. I've gone with quarter inch plywood of medium quality and cut it to dimensions which were previously charted. As all the cutting was done by me, it came out so damn awesome :D
Once all the woodworking was done it was time to move on to Electronics. Collecting all the electronics, I had gone with a rather mid quality amplifier from China (YL2020), a 24w wall adapter, Bluetooth module (anyone will do, mine is a Bv4.0) etc. I salvaged the speakers from an old 5.1 broken speaker system, which reduced the overall cost drastically. For the first attempt, I connected every module to one another and gave it a test run, which kind of partially worked, but not well. The problem was the power supply, the one I used was a 12v 2A adapter type (The black plastic thing), which was able to deliver a maximum of 2A, which in return clipped the audio after 60% to 65% volume level.
The solution was an equivalent 24w POWER BRICK (The metal thing :) ), which solved the problem and was easily delivering peaks of 4.8A without any delay or difficulties. After the connections were properly made, I hot glued everything in place to the base panel. Also tested the output regularly to ensure proper working. For the wiring, I used .75sqmm Aluminium wire (Commonly called strip wire), which was more than enough for the use. All other complementary components like the Bluetooth module and the auxiliary input for external input, a switch etc were done accordingly.
Coming to the assembly, my awesome woodworking techniques proved themselves. None of them were squared correctly. A lot of sanding, filing, cleaning, repetition, were done to make every piece to the proper dimension. Then I nailed all the pieces to one another to complete the build. After which I gave the whole thing 2 coats of wood primer paint, accompanied with 3 coats of matte black spray paint. The whole build took around ₹800 for the build without speakers.
As the speaker was made for my Dad, I took one of his old black dhotis, tore to the dimension and used it for front covering of the speaker. :D :D After all the final touch-ups were done the speaker came out to be an impressive one, at least for my Mom's eyes. But, its a must say that the speaker sounds insane. Now its time for the reason. :)
