The Bluetooth Speaker v2.0

Repetition Right!

But this is interesting. The Bluetooth Speaker v2.0 is compulsorily for my Achan. The project idea began with his interest in Malayalam Old songs and composition of instruments in them,. He's one of a kind who loves the instruments and vocal sounds to be heard crisp and clear. Thought, why not build a powerful speaker system? (I call it the Sound Bar :P).

As already mentioned in my previous speaker build, one of the best material suited for speaker build is wood, and Plywood and teak being the best in the category. Hence, chosen Plywood for this build. I've gone with quarter inch plywood of medium quality and cut it to dimensions which were previously charted. As all the cutting was done by me, it came out so damn awesome :D

Once all the woodworking was done it was time to move on to Electronics. Collecting all the electronics, I had gone with a rather mid quality amplifier from China (YL2020), a 24w wall adapter, Bluetooth module (anyone will do, mine is a Bv4.0) etc. I salvaged the speakers from an old 5.1 broken speaker system, which reduced the overall cost drastically. For the first attempt, I connected every module to one another and gave it a test run, which kind of partially worked, but not well. The problem was the power supply, the one I used was a 12v 2A adapter type (The black plastic thing), which was able to deliver a maximum of 2A, which in return clipped the audio after 60% to 65% volume level.

The solution was an equivalent 24w POWER BRICK (The metal thing :) ), which solved the problem and was easily delivering peaks of 4.8A without any delay or difficulties. After the connections were properly made, I hot glued everything in place to the base panel. Also tested the output regularly to ensure proper working. For the wiring, I used .75sqmm Aluminium wire (Commonly called strip wire), which was more than enough for the use. All other complementary components like the Bluetooth module and the auxiliary input for external input, a switch etc were done accordingly.

Coming to the assembly, my awesome woodworking techniques proved themselves. None of them were squared correctly. A lot of sanding, filing, cleaning, repetition, were done to make every piece to the proper dimension. Then I nailed all the pieces to one another to complete the build. After which I gave the whole thing 2 coats of wood primer paint, accompanied with 3 coats of matte black spray paint. The whole build took around ₹800 for the build without speakers.

As the speaker was made for my Dad, I took one of his old black dhotis, tore to the dimension and used it for front covering of the speaker. :D :D After all the final touch-ups were done the speaker came out to be an impressive one, at least for my Mom's eyes. But, its a must say that the speaker sounds insane. Now its time for the reason. :)

Solar Panel Cake Recipe.

Today, I'm going to present you a cookery show on 'How to make Solar Panel Cake'.                                            The ingredients we need for this cook is just handful of items. First, the main ingredient is Silicon or simply sand which you can find out in dessert, along with that you need some chemicals, some liquid metal, and a bit coloring. Ok! now we can start our mix, before that our silicon must be either cooked or baked to about 2000 degree Celcius to separate it from impurities and other rocks. Once the cooking is over, we can add our first set of chemicals which is mainly to increase the strength of silicon, which is now in a molten state. We need to stir these two mixes at a constant temperature for about two days.  1st cooking for strengthening                                            Now we've got a sweet liquid silicon. Wait for this to be hardened, either you can wait for normal cooling, else pass some water underneath the coo

Automated Water Pump

Hey, Sorry for the delay in post updates, which was primarily due to exams and busy schedules. Okay! Let's move on to work. Often, I see my mom running to the kitchen as soon as the tank gets filled and the water overflows, to open up the tap, thus saving a bit of it being overflown. It's been long that I've looking to come up with a solution to this problem. At last- 'An Automated Water Pump Mechanism.' The whole project actually took around 3 days to complete and a month of planning. The original idea was to make the system fully autonomous so that whenever the water drops below a certain value, the pump would get turned ON and another threshold for turn OFF. But adding to the design constraint, if the system is fully autonomous, the system would turn ON despite the irregularities of Voltage in our state (Kerala), that would further lead to other problems. Hence I stick on to the idea of turning ON  the system once which will shut the system OFF once th

Alternating Current v/s Direct Current

A rather simple topic! WHAT?        There are mainly two types of electricity in this world, namely Alternating Current (AC) & Direct Current (DC). But before that what is current? In theory, it's just a flow of electron, but in a practical scenario I've seen anything like that, what I felt is a torturing heat, and that's because of a higher CURRENT!. The supply we get in our house, industry, college almost everywhere is Alternating Current. Its produced from hydroelectric generators here, mainly. 'AC' man is seen as something like this when plotted in a graph. Mr. Alternating Current          Once again Mr. Faraday came into our context. According to his law  of electromagnetism predicts how a magnetic field will interact with an electric circuit to produce an electromotive force ( EMF). Consider a magnet with its south and north poles separated in space and when a coil rotates in between this poles, electricity will be produced in the terminals o
